As the legislative session comes to an end, we see that the GOP has not only changed who can vote in the primaries, but now has made it harder for citizens to petition their government for redress. By making it harder for petitions to get on the ballot.
It’s not enough that when an actual petition gets on the ballot (namely the marijuana bill) and passes, the fascist Legislature changes the bill that was actually passed for something weakened to the point that it makes it harder for people to get medicinal marijuana around the state. Then they change primary voting to be restricted to just party lines.
What happened to free and fair elections? I know the nine or ten Democrats in the state are threatening the balance of power. But I thought we lived in a democracy, where everyone has a voice. Let me tell those in power, being in charge doesn’t mean you have power to just sit on your hands and do as you please. You are there to represent your constituents, not your own personal agenda. Until you actually legislate meaningful bills that change people’s lives, such as health care, environmental, social change, we will continue living in nothing more than a fascist state.
